AOP and Opera on Tap return to Galapagos Art Space for the third in this ongoing series that brings the best of contemporary opera to one of Brooklyn's most innovative art venues.

Featuring excerpts from three new works all based on true stories!

SEMMELWEIS
AOP presents the true story of Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis who battled the 19th-century European medical establishment and his own personal demons to convince the world why a deadly disease has been killing mothers at a horrific rate inside the world's greatest hospital.

MARYMERE
Using the talents of both classical and folk musicians, the one-act opera Marymere tells the true story of a suspected murderer and a wealthy eccentric who escaped to Wyoming at the turn of the last century.

SUCKER
