American Opera Projects
The core of American Opera Projects, First Chance allows composers and librettists to hear their work in part or in full for the first time before an audience, with live singers and accompaniment. American Opera Projects does not simply bring great operas to the public – we involve them every step of the way. The program allows the participation of audience members to help hone and adapt new works. Through question and answer sessions to collecting personal feedback, we help artists discover their own unique voices and discover the unique ears for which they are creating.

Past Projects

Many of American Opera Projects' past works are ideal for production by other companies.  If you are a producer and see something that is of interest to you, please contact us.  We will be happy to send materials, or put you in direct contact with the creators.
