The six inaugural composers in AOP's Composers & the Voice series formed a tightly knit family.  They continued to collaborate after the end of the workshop series, calling themselves the South Oxford Six.  Their first presentation was a joint concert at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater, with the program made up of solo works composed during the workshop series.  The concert featured as many of the workshop's original singers as were available.
